The events themselves are all about giving people the chance to set themselves a personal challenge, to raise money and to have fun. You don’t have to be an Olympic Gold Medallist to do a mile. From running novices to marathon pros - the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile will cater for everyone and literally anyone can get involved.
In 2006 over 400,000 people took part in 255 Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Miles, in what was one of the world’s biggest events of its kind. When people participate in a Mile event in 2008 they will have the option to complete one, three or six mile laps to raise money and help change the lives of incredibly poor and disadvantaged people both at home and in the world’s poorest countries. To make sure that Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile events are happening all over the UK, we need your help. Please get on board and help make Sport Relief 2008 a huge success.
