12:52 Mum Helen and her two boys Leo and Kai (fantastically dressed as Sportacus and Mr. Incredible) are having a wail of a time in Glasgow right now! Little Leo has recently recovered from an operation on his heart but he’s determined to do a Mile today. Together they’ve raised £120 for Sport Relief. What an inspiration!
12:28 Norman Cooke (AKA Fat Boy Slim) is at the Brighton Mile today for the third consecutive Sport Relief campaign. This time he’s pulled out all the stops and ran a brilliant three miles in just under half an hour. With the atmosphere pumping and the crowds cheering, he’s right at home!
12:28 The king of darts, Bobby George, is in Ipswich getting everyone going for Sport Relief – he said ‘it’s a great day and it good to see so many people taking part. Now all everyone needs to do is remember to send in their bees and honey.’ (That’s money to any non-cockneys out there!)

He hasn’t slept in weeks but the excitement has got the better of him so he’s now having a little snooze before he sets off – As you can imagine, Mum’s very happy indeed!
11:45 News just in – 78 year old Earl Fee has finished his Mile in Belfast in an incredible five minutes, 58 seconds – smashing the world record for his age!

11:20 As the Ipswich Mile gets going, an amazing 12 year old lad called Jordan has donated the £500 prize he won when he was crowned Sainsbury’s Sporting Champion of Yorkshire this year. The tumbling gymnast is the number one in the UK for his age and is donating his winnings to make a difference to poor and disadvantaged young people at home and around the world – what a superstar!
11:10 Milers Across the country right now a staggering amount of people are doing their Mile in style! Bristol, Brighton & Hove, Glasgow and Milton Keynes Milers are making headway on with the help of the cast of Casualty, the famous Dragon Theo Paphitis, Yvonne Murray and Lee McConnell.
10:40 Milers in Swansea, Nottingham, Gateshead and Southampton have all set off! Even Swansea City FC’s Mascot, Cyril the Swan, is making his way round the route right now.
10:35 It’s a good job that the people of the North East don’t mind braving the cold despite being scantily clad! They’re doing their Bannatyne’s warm up in Gateshead right now in the freezing cold but that hasn’t stopped them turning up in shorts!

9:30 Come on Coventry! The Lord Mayor has just started the first wave and Titan the Robot is stealing the show. The milers are making their way around the route to raise much needed cash for Sport Relief.
9:10 It may be cold, wet and windy in Coventry but since when has that ever stopped the Brits from rising to the challenge?! Right now, they're out in force warming up to do one, three or six miles and spirits are running high.
9:00 And they're off! Despite the pouring rain, excitement has filled the crowds as they wave off the first Milers of the day.
Even the Norwich City mascot wasn't put off by the weather - he's joined by some Royal Marines and a storm trooper to run in the first wave of 2008. Go Norwich!
